Gaudi's Garden at Casa Batlló
Immerse yourself in the captivating story of the extensive renovation of the iconic Casa Batlló in Barcelona, one of the city’s most visited attractions.
As the back facade of the famous building was being renovated, Casa Batlló seized to opportunity to showcase the meticulous preservation work that goes into maintaining the unique architecture. In collaboration with Entertainment Development, Hello! created a unique, temporary exhibition themed as ‘Gaudi’s Garden’: This exhibition transports visitors into a world of wonder, where the illusion of a lush, green garden was created through the use of 45 kinds of foliage. It took a team of 4 people a week to mount the greenery. To provide visitors with a deeper understanding of Gaudi’s work and the painstaking efforts it takes to preserve it, the exhibition features interviews with experts in iron, wood, glass and stucco. Historical footage and graphics give further insight into Gaudi’s architecture. For younger visitors we designed and installed small ‘hologram boxes’ that project animations and information onto a miniature landscape. Additionally, a specially composed soundscape and custom made scents adds to the ambiance of the attraction. |
